Rules for 2006 Points Championship
Points are awarded for tournament participation, as well as placement in the tournaments. Participation points are 100 points for a one-day tournament and 200 points for a two-day event. Additional points are awarded for the top 8 low net finishers in each flight. If the tournament includes a prize for low gross, the low gross finisher in each flight is awarded first place points. If there are ties, points are determined by combining the place points and dividing by the number of ties. Placement points are awarded as follows:
Place 1-Day 2-Day
1st 150 300
2nd 100 200
3rd 75 150
4th 50 100
5th 35 70
6th 25 50
7th 15 30

The points competition ends at the completion of the Best Two Balls of Four in November. Prizes are awarded to the top three finishers. If needed, most points earned in the Club Championship or an 18-hole playoff break ties. The top ten finishers receive a free club membership next year.
