Gene Saracco Shoots His Age to Win Net
Amateur. John Montgomery Claims Second Spot
Gene Saracco shot a 74 (net 64) to win the Net Amateur tournament. Way to go Gene! John Montgomery also had a good around and finished second with an 82 (net 65). Gene and John will represent our club in the NCGA Net Amateur. Scott Shepard also played well with an 81 (net 65) but lost the tie-breaker to John and finished third. Scott is the alternate should Gene or John be unable to play in the Net Amateur.

Tournament Entry Deadline
Recently, we have had problems keeping track of who's playing and who has paid because of late entries; therefore, entry checks must be to Gene by the Tuesday before the tournament or you don't play!!.
July Tournament Three Hole Skins
At our July tournament rather than our normal individual low net tournament format, we will have a low net skins contest. Six skins will be awarded to the low net score on holes 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-15, and 16-18. Any ties will be broken by a tie-breaker that George Nesbit will design. We will have our normal closest to the pin awards. Guests are always welcome just remember to include their NCGA member number and handicap index.

August is Our Fun Tournament
Our August tournament doesn’t have an official name so we’ll just call it our Second Fun Tournament. August was usually when we scheduled our Away Tournament but we’ve had difficulty the last few years getting enough members to sign up so we’ve drop the Away tournament. We’ll run our normal individual low net format with prizes for top low net scores and closest to the pin. Guests are always welcome, in fact the more the better. If you invite a guest, remember to include their NCGA # and handicap index on the entry form. Checks must be to Gene by 7/26/2011 or you don't play!!!

Schedule Notes:
You must have played in 3 tournaments during 2011 to compete for club champion. The 2012 Four Man Zone team will be determined at the Club Championship. The Club Champion and the top three low net finishers based on an 18.4 handicap index limit will form our team. The Points competition ends at the November tournament.
